Why This Approach?
A complete view that brings doctors together on the same treatment plan, for diagnoses that are more accurate, less invasive and easier on the family.
Direct Clinical Communication
Our doctors talk to each other. If the paediatrician notices your child snoring or breathing through their mouth, they refer straight to Dentofacial Orthopaedics. Nothing gets lost in translation.
Early and Complete Diagnosis
Tooth position often affects body posture, or breathing affects sleep. With our 360º view, we detect and treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Comfort for the Whole Family
Bring your child's healthcare together in one familiar, trusted place. Fewer trips, shared medical records and a team that knows your child by name.
FAQs
We know integrated health can be a new concept for many parents. We’ve put together the most common questions to help you make the best decision for your child.
01What's the difference between Dentofacial Orthopaedics and Orthodontics?
Orthodontics aligns the teeth, usually during adolescence. Dentofacial Orthopaedics focuses on the growth of the facial bones and jaws. By acting earlier, often between ages 6 and 10, we can guide bone growth and avoid surgery or extractions later on.nseguimos “guiar” o crescimento ósseo, evitando cirurgias ou extrações no futuro.
02Does my child need to be seen by all three specialties?
Not necessarily at the same time, but our advantage is screening. During a routine appointment, if a specialist spots a warning sign from another area, the referral is internal and immediate.
03What age should I bring my child in?
We recommend the first paediatric dentistry visit as soon as the first tooth comes in, or by the first birthday. Paediatrics follows your child from birth. The orthopaedic assessment is ideally done around age 6, or earlier if you notice mouth breathing.
